About Kevin Gasvoda

Kevin GasvodaPossessing expertise in capital markets and asset management, Kevin Gasvoda has more than two decades of experience in the finance industry. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Colorado, he joined KPMG Peat Marwick as a staff accountant in 1991. After passing his CPA exam on the first sitting, Gasvoda remained as a CPA with KPMG until 1995, when he returned to school to pursue graduate studies in finance. In 1997, Kevin Gasvoda earned an MBA in finance and business economics from The University of Chicago.

Following the completion of his MBA, Kevin Gasvoda joined Goldman Sachs & Co., where he launched what would be a working relationship that lasted more than 15 years. During his tenure with Goldman Sachs, he worked in the company’s mortgage department, ran its credit loan trading business for a five-year period, served for two years as the head of the Strategic Portfolio Solutions Group, and managed Litton Loan Servicing, Goldman Sachs’ residential loan servicing business. He also served in board or advisory committee roles with a number of Goldman Sachs portfolio companies and subsidiaries, including Avelo Mortgage, LownHome, and Essent Group. In 2006, Kevin Gasvoda became a partner at Goldman Sachs. In his final role before leaving the company, he served as an advisory director from January 2012 to April 2013.

In August 2013, Kevin Gasvoda co-founded SG Capital Partners, an integrated mortgage and investment business based in Stamford, Connecticut. Together with his two fellow founding partners, Gasvoda oversees the firm’s two principal business lines – investment management and loan acquisition – and supports mortgage originators and investors through knowledge of market intelligence and risk management.
